Great book. I liked the book better than the movie though. Although Christian Bale...Swooooon!!
yeah like... it wasn't bad it was just... disturbing.
Hmm, I've been wanting to read this book for quite some time. The movie was straight up crazy, though I got a kick at how Bale acted in the movie. He nailed the remorseless person, and how he blankly described the music he was playing in a way that it seemed like he was just reading off a teleprompter inside his head.... Anyways another book that is disturbing is Zombie by Joyce Carol Oates. It should be a quick read, but it is written intentionally in bad grammar, with mini hand drawn pictures from the main character, who is a serial killer. crazy book.
if you liked the music bits you might like the book as well. it's got like whole chapters dedicated to it and sounds like the movie did that bit spot on. i must warn you though that the book is A LOT more graphic in the murders and the sex scenes.

i'll deffo recommend zombie to my friend that loves these types of books. i personally don't know if i can fill my head with anymore disturbing things that make me less sane then i was going into it.
Well, I didn't pick up American Psycho yet cause *gasp* the book store didn't carry that book; however, I picked up Lunar Park, which has been quite an enjoyable read. It could be the reason why I'm digging it so much is his sarcasm, and in this book in particular, he starts off with a part autobiographical book, and then throws the reader into pure fiction.

Oh, and after you watch the movie of American Psycho, try watching the behind the scenes discussion or watching the movie with commentary by the director. Some interesting stuff. Well, at least it is for me.
